A number of people have asked what the Chinese characters on the Stafford logo mean so it seems that an explanation is in order. The characters, read from top to bottom are 'san yi seung hap', or in Sidney Lau Romanization 'san1 yi3 seung1 hap6'.

The first character, san1, means body.

The second character, yi3, means something like thought, idea, sentiment or intention.

Seung1, the third character, means together or mutual.

Lastly the fourth character, hap6, means co-operate.

Put the individual characters together and the literal translation is 'body and mind together co-operating'. The true meaning is actually 'body and mind incorporated'. So, that's the Stafford motto. Wear it with pride!
