James Riley
Grade: 1st degree black
In James's own words, "I was bullied throughout my school years; this gave rise to the need to feel that I could defend myself, so I took up Lau Gar Kung Fu and kickboxing in 1999. I have gone from earning my white sash to achieving my black sash, having represented Stafford Club in local competitions and in the British Kung Fu Association National Championships along the way. I now assist on club nights passing on my skills and experience to others while also continuing to develop my own training on the path to my next sash." Date acheived black sash: 2006.
