Introduction to Meditation & Qigong: Day 2
25th February 2012
Harnessing our Inner Power for Physical, Mental and Emotional Health and Well-Being
Three days in which we offer a variety of physical & mental exercises to remind us of the power we have within to shape our lives in positive ways and promote inner and outer health and well-being.
Days 1 and 2: Alec Clark will teach the Eight Brocades, part of the ancient Chinese system of Qigong; these are gentle exercises that promote the flow of internal energy essential for health and well-being. Ursula Dickenson will teach a variety of meditation exercises designed to give people a taste of ‘ways into meditation’. By being introduced to techniques from different traditions and some developed simply to enable people to relax and slow down in order to help reduce physical complaints, you are more likely to find one that really suits you.
Day 3: the focus will be on meditation and our in-built healing system relating to thoughts and emotions. Presentations and exercises will be interspersed with a recap of the Eight Brocades.
At the end you will receive a DVD of ‘the Eight Pieces of Silk Brocade’ as an aid to practise at home.
If you want to know more and to book (by January 10th), please phone Ursula on 01785 251455.
